Real British Wheat,
Real British Farmers,
Real British Values.
Picture it if you can; it’s 1932, you’re enveloped by the rich, rolling countryside of Northamptonshire. It’s probably raining. In front of you Weetabix farmers are sowing the first seeds in what would become the nation’s favourite breakfast cereal - and a trusted British name, enjoyed in over 80 countries around the world.
It’s safe to say that times have changed since our first harvest back then. But of course some things are still exactly the same - like the principles of community and quality that have always been at the centre of what we do.

Today, the Weetabix family of employees is around 2000 strong. Along with Weetabix, we’re producing 36 delicious and wholesome breakfast cereals and bars, with the same care that we’ve always made your favourite breakfast.
We’re still based in the same location the company was born – well, you get settled don’t you? We don’t just buy British wheat, we buy local wheat. All of the wheat for Weetabix is grown within 50 miles of our mills and grown especially for us, to our specifications.
That way, you can sit down at breakfast and enjoy Britain’s finest produce, and in doing so support a proud farming culture.
In 2004, Latimer Group Limited, a company incorporated by Lion Capital, acquired all of the issued share capital of Weetabix Limited. Weetabix Limited now forms part of the group of successful branded companies in the Lion portfolio.
