Weetabix Cake Recipe

Weetabix Cake

Sarah at Netmums has shared her mouthwatering Weetabix Cake recipe with us. The perfect afternoon treat for the family!

  • 300g self-rising flour
  • 225g sugar
  • 200g raisins (or any other dried fruit)
  • 2 Weetabix, crushed
  • 1/2 - 1tsp mixed spice
  • 275ml semi-skimmed or 1% milk
  • 1 medium egg, beaten

  1. Measure out all the dried ingredients into a large bowl.
  2. Pour in the milk and egg and mix well (the mixture will look like a lumpy batter).
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased and lined loaf tin.
  4. Bake at 130 degrees C for around 1 hr 15 mins, until it is firm to touch, golden brown and a skewer or knife comes out clean.
  5. Once cooked, turn out of the tin onto a wire rack and remove the greaseproof paper.
  6. Cut into slices when cool.

Why not try with Weetabix Chocolate for a more chocolatey taste?
